Ferdi began his career as a financial planner advising business owners. He joined Aldes in 2002 as a franchisee, quickly became the group’s top-performing broker, and later acquired the entire group, growing it from 7 franchisees to 35 thriving agencies and making Aldes the largest SME business brokerage in Africa.

He designed the business valuation models and CRM system that became the industry standard and still form the backbone of every Aldes office. After a successful exit from Aldes Head Office, he relocated to Windhoek to build Aldes Namibia himself.

Ferdi has guided hundreds of business owners through successful sales, often achieving outcomes beyond their expectations, and has structured some of the largest and most complex transactions in Aldes’ history. Over many years he has built a wide network of professionals who support his clients.

He has also trained a generation of business brokers, authored the industry’s national qualification, and helped shape the sector through his work with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA). He holds B.Com (Law) and B.Proc degrees and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).

Friendly and easy to deal with, Ferdi has an uncanny ability to solve problems others find difficult. He has been happily married for 30 years, all of them spent perfecting the art of compromise, so there’s very little he can’t negotiate.
